Try this 5-minute exercise to trick your brain

Sleep difficulties are one of the most common symptoms of stress. In 2021, the Australian Institute for Health and Welfare published statistics from 2016 stating 2 in 3 Australian adults experience 1 sleep issue and almost HALF of Australian adults reporting 2 or more sleep issues.

This could be getting to sleep, staying asleep, waking up, nightmares/night terrors, sleep walking, grinding teeth, snoring, sleep talking, insomnia and more.

The recommended amount of sleep for Australian adults aged 18 to 64 years is 7-9 hours per night.

Sleep is crucial to our cognitive function, our physical health, recovery, and longevity. This 5-minute exercise might help you get to sleep or get back to sleep if you wake during the night.

If you continue to have difficulties with your sleep, seek a medical review from your GP.
